COMMISSIONER DAVIS INVITES THE PUBLIC TO PARTICIPATE IN HEARINGS ON PROPOSED ’19 TAX MILLAGE RATES

Written by Matt Davis on July 9, 2019. Posted in News/Weather

Rome City Commissioner Wendy Davis hopes that Romans will make plans to attend one of three public hearings on the city’s proposed tax millage rates for 2019.  The first was held at the Commission’s regular meeting on Monday evening.  The next will take place on Thursday, July 18th at 10 am in the Sam King Room of City Hall, and the third will be held at the Commission’s next regular meeting on July 22nd

Davis asserts that in spite of a tax increase, the city’s millage rate is expected to stay the same this year.

The millage rate is slated for adoption after the third and final public hearing on July 22nd
