Georgia Tech was crushed by ACC rival Duke 110-57 in men’s basketball on Wednesday night at Durham, North Carolina.  The No. 8 Blue Devils had seven players to score in the double digits.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-1 in conference play and 9-5 overall.  They’ll return to action at home on Saturday versus Louisville.  The game is scheduled to begin at 2 pm and will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge, Rome’s radio home for Georgia Tech athletics.

In other college basketball news, Georgia Highlands College’s Chargers improved to 15-0 overall for the 2016-2017 season with an 87-71 conference victory over Gordon State at home on Wednesday night.  The Chargers are now 2-0 in the GCAA.  No such luck on the court for the Lady Chargers, who fell to Hanceville 76-65 in a non-conference outing at Hanceville, Alabama.  GHC’s women are now 6-10 overall.
