Written by Matt Davis on April 6, 2012. Posted in Sports

Shorter University’s baseball Hawks will host Southern Wesleyan in a three game series over the weekend.  The teams will play a single game today at 2 pm, which will be followed by a double header tomorrow at noon at Shorter’s Robert H. Ledbetter Baseball Complex.

Tomorrow will be Child Abuse Prevention Day for the Hawks.  Gail Garland, Executive Director of Harbor House, is helping to organize the event and says that it will be an educational day at the ball park.  The event is being held in observation of Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is in April.

Berry’s baseball team will also be at home this weekend.  They’ll host Tennessee Temple in a three game series.  The teams will play a solo game today at 3 pm, which will be followed by a double header tomorrow at 1 pm.
