Written by Matt Davis on January 8, 2019. Posted in Uncategorized

No. 2 Clemson defeated No. 1 Alabama 44-16 in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Monday night.  It marked the fourth consecutive playoff meeting between the teams and the second time in three seasons that the Tigers took down the Tide for a national title.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns for Clemson, which became the first team in college football’s modern era to end a season 15-0.

Alabama was denied a sixth national title in 10 years and finished the season with a 14-1 record.
