ATLANTA HAWKS BACK HOME TO FACE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES TONIGHT

In NBA news, the Atlanta Hawks return to their home court at the Philips Arena to take on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at 7:30 pm.  The Hawks just completed a five game road trip to close out the month of January that left them with four wins and one loss.  They have 16 wins and six losses overall for the 2011-2012 season.

In your local college basketball update, Berry College’s Vikings picked up their second straight win 83-80 over Huntingdon last night at Berry’s Cage Center.  No more Berry College basketball is on tap for this week.  The Vikes are off until next Wednesday, February 8th, when they travel to Maryville, Tennessee to take on Maryville College.  The Lady Vikes will return to action on Saturday, February 11th as they, along with the Vikes, host LaGrange.  Catch select Berry College men’s and women’s basketball games this season on WLAQ AM 1410 and www.wlaq1410.com.

ATLANTA HAWKS CLOSE OUT ROAD TRIP WITH WIN OVER TORONTO RAPTORS

In NBA news, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Toronto Raptors 100-77 in Toronto last night.  Last night’s win improves the Hawks record to 16 wins and six losses so far for the 2011-2012 season.  After being on the road for five straight games, the Hawks will return to their home court of the Philips Arena in Atlanta to take on the Memphis Grizzlies tomorrow night at 7:30 pm.

SHORTER UNIVERSITY BASEBALL ENDS FLORIDA ROAD TRIP WITH WIN OVER EDWARD WATERS

The Shorter University baseball team picked up a 12-3 win from Edward Waters College yesterday in Jacksonville, Florida.  The Hawks will play their 2012 home opener this Saturday against the University of Pikeville at Shorter’s Robert H. Ledbetter Field.  The double header is set to begin at 1 pm.

ATLANTA HAWKS HEADED TO GREAT WHITE NORTH FOR MATCH WITH TORONTO RAPTORS TONIGHT

In NBA news, the Atlanta Hawks will be up in Canada tonight to take on the Toronto Raptors at 7 pm.  The Hawks currently have 15 wins and six losses so far for the 2011-2012 season, with seven wins and five losses on the road.
