Today is Election Day in Floyd County!  Polls opened at 7 am this morning and remain open until 7 pm.

EXCHANGE CLUB VETERANS DAY EVENT TO EXTEND PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL VETERANS

This Saturday, November 11th is Veterans Day.  The Americanism Committee of the Exchange Club of Rome aims to honor area veterans (in a helpful way) with a special Veterans Day Event at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds.  It will be held rain or shine on Saturday from 9 am until 4 pm.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that it has selected its preferred route to connect US 411 from Floyd County to Interstate 75 in Bartow County.

AAA, The Auto Club Group, says that motorists may see higher gas prices this week after oil and wholesale prices made solid gains last week.

ELECTION DAY IS COMING UP!

Tuesday is Election Day!  Voters across Floyd County will determine the fate of the 2017 SPLOST as well as the ESPLOST.  Rome voters will select three members of their City Commission and seven school board members.  Voters in Cave Spring will fill three seats on their City Council.  Polls will open in the morning at 7 am and remain open until 7 pm.

FLOYD COUNTY SCHOOLS REACHES AGREEMENT WITH JOHNSON CONTROLS

The Floyd County Schools announced on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with Johnson Controls on a settlement intended to resolve disputes between the two entities.
