Written by Matt Davis on September 7, 2012. Posted in News/Weather

The Rome International Film Festival won’t be the only thing making for a busy weekend in downtown Rome.  The final First Friday concert for 2012 is tonight.  It will be a Broad Street Block Party to be held in the 200 block of Broad Street from 6 pm until 11 pm.  Three bands will entertain the crowd, including Jerry On The Moon, Curiosity Shoppe Band and Kneckdown.

The First Friday concert series is presented annually by the Rome Downtown Development Authority and funded by the Business Improvement District.

Amanda Carter with the DDA says this year has been a successful one for First Friday.

Broad Street Block Party t-shirts will be available for purchase tonight for $10 each.  For more information about the First Friday concert series, call the Rome Downtown Development Authority at (706) 236-4520.

WLAQ AM 1410 and 95.7 FM The Ridge are proud sponsors of the 2012 First Friday concert series.
