The Atlanta Braves wrapped up a seven-game road trip in victorious fashion with a 5-4 win over the Miami Marlins on Sunday afternoon at Marlins Park in Miami.  This resulted in a 2-2 split in the four game series among rivals in the National League East.  Atlanta went 4-3 on the road trip. 

Ender Inciarte gave the Braves a 4-3 lead with a three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning.

Ronald Acuna Jr. added a solo home run in the fifth.  It was his 33rd home run of this season. 

Mike Foltynewicz picked up the win for Atlanta after giving up four runs and eight hits, walking two and striking out seven over six innings.  Luke Jackson got the save.  Hector Noesi took the loss for Miami. 

The Braves are off today and will get back into action on Tuesday night with the first of three NL East outings versus the New York Mets at SunTrust Park.  First pitch is slated for 7:20 pm.  Listen to the game on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM.  Air time is 6:05 pm. 

Sunday’s victory over the Marlins marked the 70th win of this season for the Braves, who currently lead the National League East by six and a half games over the Washington Nationals and eight games over the Mets. 

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves nabbed an 11-0 shut out win over  the Augusta Greenjackets on Sunday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium. That allowed the Braves to take the four game set with the ‘Jackets 3-1.  Rome will return to action this evening in Asheville against the Tourists; first pitch is set  for 7:05 pm.
