Written by Matt Davis on April 11, 2019. Posted in Sports

Winter weather led to the postponement of the Atlanta Braves’ series finale in Denver, CO versus the Colorado Rockies that was scheduled for Wednesday.  It will be made up on August 26th at Coors Field.

The Braves will return to action tonight on their home field at SunTrust Park versus the New York Mets.  First pitch is slated for 7:20 pm for game one of a four game set.  Listen on WLAQ AM 1410 and the new 96.9 FM.  Air time is 6:05 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

Atlanta took the first two outings of their series at Colorado.  They have won seven of their last eight games after dropping a three-game set in Philadelphia to the Phillies to open the 2019 regular season. The Braves, Phillies and Mets are currently in a three-way tie atop the National League East.  Atlanta’s latest homestand will also feature three matches versus the Arizona Diamondbacks at SunTrust Park.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves fell to the Columbia Fireflies 2-0 on Wednesday at Columbia, SC.  Rome’s home opener is slated for tonight at  at 7 pm at State Mutual Stadium versus the Greenville Drive.
