BOARD OF REGENTS APPROVES TUITION RATE HIKE

Written by Matt Davis on April 16, 2013. Posted in News/Weather

The University System of Georgia Board of Regents voted yesterday on a 2.5 percent tuition increase for in-state, undergraduate students at 27 colleges and universities in the System.  The dollar increase in tuition will range from a low of $32 to a high of $270 per semester, according to a release from the Board of Regents.

Georgia is only one of five states with two or more institutions in the US News and World Report’s current rankings of the top 25 public universities – Georgia Tech at 7th and the University of Georgia at 23rd.

The tuition increase approved by the Board of Regents is expected to take effect in the fall.
