The Berry College women’s basketball team beat Oakwood University 80-66 last night at Berry’s Cage Center.  Chanlir Segarra contributed a game-high 27 points to the Vikings’ win.  Berry improved to 11-12 overall and snapped a three game losing streak.   Both of Berry’s basketball teams will return to action on Friday night as host to Southern Athletic Association rival Millsaps.  Tip off is set for 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men.  Coverage of the games will be provided by WLAQ AM 1410 and www.wlaq1410.com.

Shorter University basketball will take to the airwaves of 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com tomorrow night as the Hawks and Lady Hawks hit the road for a couple Gulf South Conference matches with Delta State.  The women are set to play at 7 pm, followed by the men at 9 pm.

In local college basketball on tap for tonight, Georgia Highlands College’s Chargers and Lady Chargers will be in Smyrna, Georgia to take on Chattahoochee Tech, with tip off at 5:30 pm for the women and 7:30 pm for the men.
