‘BELIEVE IN THE BLUE’ AND WEAR BLUE ON MONDAYS DURING CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

Written by Matt Davis on April 15, 2019. Posted in News/Weather

Locals continue to participate in the nationwide observation of Child Abuse Prevention Month throughout April.

Tina Bartleson, Executive Director of the Exchange Club Family Resource Center in Rome, urges one and all to ‘Believe in the Blue’ and wear blue each Monday of this month to show support of child abuse prevention.  While you are at it, take a picture and post it to the FRC’s Facebook page.

The primary focus of the local CAP month activities is education, indicates Bartleson, who adds that the FRC teams with the YMCA of Rome and Floyd County every Monday this April for lunch and learn events; these take place at noon at the YMCA on East Second Avenue.

Local CAP month activities are posted online at www.exchangeclubfrc.org.  This year’s theme is “Working Together We Can Prevent Child Abuse”.
