COULD IT BE?  WILL ROME GET SNOW SOON?

Written by Matt Davis on January 4, 2017. Posted in News/Weather

The Greater Rome area could see some snow as we head into the weekend!  It is unclear exactly when it will actually begin or how much we’ll get, predictions vary among forecasters.

A hazardous weather outlook has been posted by the National Weather Service for Floyd and numerous other Georgia counties.  It reads:  “There is a chance for wintry precipitation across north and portions of central Georgia, mainly late Friday into Saturday.  At this time, it is too early to determine accumulations and exact areas of rain or snow.  Details will become available throughout the week.”

Temperatures will continue to decline as we head through the week and into the weekend, increasing any chances of precipitation.
