Students from the Career Technical Instruction (CTI) program at the Floyd County Schools College and Career Academy recently participated in the CTI Spring Leadership Conference at Rock Eagle in Eatonton, GA, according to a media release from the school system.  Around 600 students from around the state participated in a variety of activities designed to help prepare them to be leaders in their schools and communities.

Pump prices are anticipated to rise this week in light of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group.  The conflict in Syria sent crude prices to their highest point in more than three years, and as a result, motorists are about to feel the pain at the gas pump.
