ATLANTA BRAVES TO HOST PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES TONIGHT

Written by Matt Davis on August 8, 2017. Posted in Sports

The Atlanta Braves were off on Monday and will continue their current eight game homestand with a brief two-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies over the next couple of nights at SunTrust Park.  Julio Teheran is slated to serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta in tonight’s opener.  First pitch is set for 7:35 pm.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.  Air time from the Braves Radio Network is 6:20 pm.

The Phillies may have the worst record in the National League, but they’ve had the upper hand in their division rivalry against the Braves.  Philadelphia currently leads the season series between the teams 9-2.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves saw an 11-game winning streak come to an end with a loss to the Augusta Greenjackets 6-2 on Monday night in Augusta.  The Braves will play the middle outing of their three-game set against the Greenjackets tonight at 7:05 pm.
