The Atlanta Braves were off on Monday and will return to action tonight in Washington DC with the first of three games against the National League East-champion Nationals.  Julio Teheran will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Gio Gonzalez will head to the mound for Washington.  First pitch is set for 7:05 pm.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.  Air time is 5:50 pm from the Braves Radio Network.

Prior to their off day, the Braves completed a seven game homestand that left them with four wins and three losses.  Lane Adams secured Atlanta’s most recent victory with a two-run homer in the 11th inning as the Braves beat the Miami Marlins 10-8 on Sunday at at SunTrust Park, a win that allowed the Nationals to clinch the NL East title.
