ATLANTA BRAVES IN DC TODAY FOR DAY/NIGHT TWINBILL WITH WASHINGTON NATIONALS

Written by Matt Davis on August 7, 2018. Posted in Sports

The Atlanta Braves were off on Monday and will return to action today with a day-night doubleheader in Washington DC versus the Nationals.  First pitch of the first match is scheduled for 1:05 pm at Nationals Park; that outing will not be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410 as we air Rush Limbaugh at that time.  Tune in for coverage from the Braves Radio Network of the nightcap, which is slated for 7:05 pm; air time is 5:50 pm.

Atlanta is currently a game behind the division-leading Philadelphia Phillies in the race for the top spot of the National League East.  Today’s twinbill will kick off a four-game set with the Nationals.  The Braves opened their current eight game road trip by taking three of four from the Mets in New York.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves were also off on Monday and will return to action this evening at State Mutual Stadium as host to the Delmarva Shorebirds; first pitch is set for 7 pm.
