ATLANTA BRAVES BLANKED BY COLORADO ROCKIES AT TURNER FIELD

Written by Matt Davis on September 5, 2012. Posted in Sports

The Atlanta Braves were shut out by the Colorado Rockies 6-0 in game two of a four game series last night at Turner Field.  Braves starter Tommy Hanson took the loss; he gave up five hits and two runs in five and two-third innings of work, including solo home runs to Carlos Gonzalez and Jordan Pacheco.

The Braves will face the Rockies again tonight at 7:10 pm at “The Ted”.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410, Rome’s original home for Atlanta Braves baseball.  Air time for the pre-game show is 5:55 pm from the Atlanta Braves radio network.

In some good news from the Atlanta Braves, Kris Medlen has been named the National League Pitcher of the Month for August.  This is the first time Medlen has received the honor.
