ADVANCE VOTING CONTINUES IN JULY 24TH RUN-OFF ELECTION

Written by Matt Davis on July 5, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

Advance voting continues today in the July 24th run-off election, following a break for Independence Day.

Floyd County voters may cast their early ballots at the local Elections Office, located inside the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue, or at Garden Lakes Baptist Church, 2200 Redmond Circle, each weekday through Friday, July 20th from 8 am until 5 pm.

Party nominees for statewide offices will be determined by the run-off, such as the gubernatorial race between Casey Cagle and Brian Kemp; the GOP’s nominee for the state’s highest office will proceed to the general election this November against Democrat Stacey Abrams.

Floyd County Elections Supervisor Willie Green reported on Tuesday that a total of 123 early votes were cast during the first two days of this week.

Polls will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, July 24th, from 7 am until 7 pm.

For more information about the run-off, or early voting, contact the Elections Office at (706) 291-5167.
