ABDELLATIF RESIGNS AS ARMUCHEE’S HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

Written by Matt Davis on November 7, 2017. Posted in Sports

Armuchee High School’s Muhammad Abdellatif has tendered his resignation  as head football coach to school officials, according to a media release from the Floyd County Schools.

Abdellatif assumed the post of head football coach at Armuchee in 2014 to replace Preston Cash.

The coach states, “I appreciate the opportunity I’ve had these past four years to grow as a coach and make an impact on these young students’ lives.  I wish them the best moving forward.”

The search is now on for Abdellatif’s successor, says AHS Athletic Director Mrs. Telisa Chapman, who adds that the school will work with the football program and assistant coaches to keep off-season programs going during the transition in preparation for the 2018 season.

Chapman and AHS Prinicipal John Rhodarmer are working with the district’s Local Governance Team to develop the process for finding new leadership for the football program.
