AAA: GEORGIA GAS PRICES HIT NEW 2019 HIGH

Written by Matt Davis on March 11, 2019. Posted in Uncategorized

Georgia’s gas prices hit a new 2019-high on Sunday, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group.  Motorists across the state are now paying an average price of $2.37 per gallon of regular unleaded.

The state average has increased 24 of the past 25 days.  Gas prices in Georgia have climbed an average 23 cents per gallon since Valentines Day.  Sunday’s state average is now only three cents less than a year ago.

Mark Jenkins, Spokesman for AAA, states, “Gasoline supplies are beginning to tighten as refineries conduct seasonal maintenance and switch to summer-blend gasoline.  These seasonal factors are likely to keep upward pressure on prices at the pump this week.  The state average could rise another five cents as a result.”
